Pro-Literacy Detroit is the largest literacy organization in the State of Michigan, offering:<br /> &bull; one-on-one tutoring<br /> &bull; small group tutoring<br /> &bull; volunteer tutor training and certification<br /> &bull; a reading and literacy resource center<br /> &bull; after school programming<br /> &bull; English as a second language tutoring<br /> &bull; virtual pro-literacy university on-line<br /> <br /> <br /> During this time Pro-Literacy Detroit has tutored over 12,000 adult learners, and trained over 8000 tutors.<br /> With a 47% illiteracy rate and a double digit unemployment rate in the City of Detroit, it is more important than ever for Pro-Literacy Detroit to continue its mission of recruitment, training, and support of community volunteers who provide basic literacy skills through innovative, goal-driven programs.<br /> During this holiday season, we ask that you consider making a tax-deductible $100 contribution to Pro-Literacy Detroit.
